I am using MS Outlook 2002
I have a problem with the "Suggest Name" feature in addressing new e-mails. Outlook seems to use the latest incoming e-mail's "display name" for the suggestion as opposed to the "Display Name" I have in my Contacts folder. For example if John Smith is set up with a display name of "John Smith" in my Contacts, but he sends me an e-mail and he has his own "Display Name" set up as "J. Smith", then the Suggest Name feature on my computer will not list him under "John", I have to remember that he would be listed under "J. ". This becomes much more difficult as I receive many e-mails from Japan where the senders have their display name in Japanese. This effectively prevents me from using the Suggest Name feature for these recipients. Is there any way I can force Outlook to use the Display Names in my Contacts folder for the Suggest Names function? |
