Greetings,

I recently had some corruption in my NK2 file, the one that keeps track of
your nicknames used so you only have to type a few letters of a recipient's
name and it fills the rest in. I've read before that renaming it to
something else (.old) makes Outlook create a new one which fixes the
problem.

It made me wonder, though, whether it's possible to edit that file in some
program in case that's needed. I tried opening it in a text editor but it
didn't look very friendly. Just curious. Thanks for a reply

Diane,

It is important to note a significant difference between Ingressor and the
nk2csv products. The latter only reads smtp email addresses, not Exchange
entries. Further, it doesn't provide the name that corresponds to that smtp
record.

Most Ingressor customers purchase our product to edit the Exchange x500 data
to sync. it with the AD or, purchase it to quickly and globally change
erroneous records (smtp or exchange or fax) without the need to export, then
create a new NK2 file. It will also add a record, name AND smtp address from
the Ingressor GUI.

However, that said, for the ability to read email addresses only, the nk2csv
does satisfy the need at is affordable at the "free" price.
