Lets make it less vague.
a) I want to send someone an email b) I click the "new" icon c) I click "to" d) a dialog box of contacts appears, colums, Name, Display Name, E-mail Address In the contact properties, Name = Full name, there is also File as, and Display as Search has radio buttons Name and All Fields If one clicks All Fields, I would assume that one would be able to search all fields in the contact. Answer remains the same. Searches are conducted in Contact Folders, not the address book view. By the time you reach the address book view, you must at least know the name of the recipient to whom you want to send the message. The address book view was never intended for search functions and has been largely abandoned by most users. That is Microsoft's intent.
