I have been using Outlook 2007 for a little less than a year. I have started
receiving an error message that my .pst file is too large, consider archiving, deleting old items or changing to outlook 2003 or 2007. Of course I'm already using 2007. I tried following the Outlook help answer: Created a new data file and tried to import my previous .pst (mailbox.pst) but got an error message: Personal folder file .pst is already in use in the current profile. -- Keith |

Correct; apparently you are still using an old pst-file that you created
pre-Outlook 2003. That's still in the ANSI format. The new format is UNICODE. Don't use Import but simply copy the messages over to the newly created pst-file. I noticed by creating a new 2007 Personal Folder (not sure if that's the
right term), I now have another calendar. I assume I can drag/copy my calendar items into the new calendar? What do I do with the old personal folder and calendar? -- Keith "Roady [MVP]" wrote: Correct; apparently you are still using an old pst-file that you created pre-Outlook 2003. Correct, you can copy those items as well. The easiest method will be by
switching your Calendar view to a table layout like By Category; View- Current View- By Category Once everything has been moved, set your new pst-file as the default delivery location via File- Data File Management and restart Outlook. After this, you can disconnect the old pst-file via File- Data File Manamgent -- Robert Sparnaaij [MVP-Outlook] Coauthor, Configuring Microsoft Outlook 2003 http://www.howto-outlook.com/ Outlook FAQ, HowTo, Downloads, Add-Ins and more http://www.msoutlook.info/ Real World Questions, Real World Answers ----- "Klwood" wrote in message ... Thanks for the advice. It appears this "duplication" is in effect for all of
my outlook components. I've seen (2) notes, tasks, etc. Are there any others I need to look for? It also is affecting my sync with my blackberry. I have to figure out how to change that. It is syncing with my old calendar. -- Keith "Roady [MVP]" wrote: Correct, you can copy those items as well.
