Hello everybody:
Back at work I received a hard drive from a non working windows system and I need to recover the Outlook 2007 files and settings. There is no previous backup yet I can read user files when the drive is connected as slave. Since I'm new to Outlook 2007 I don't know where to start from. Any hint on which files to recover an what is the procedure to restore those files into a fresh Outlook 2007 setup? Thanks in advance Hector Balanzar |

Generally, the only files to transfer are the *.pst files
You copy these files to eg Documents on the current system (I assume you know how to take ownership) then within Outlook, FileOpenData File........browse to the pst, probably named outlook.pst and open it. You then have options, eg copy data to the default Personal Folders set or? "Hector Balanzar" Hector wrote in message ... Thank you for your reply DS:
I managed to copy the .pst file to the new setup and open it. The only twak I had to make was to create mail settings for the first time and after that set the open mail.pst as default (Tools-Acount settings..set as defatult).
