outlook 2007 not syncronizing IMAP

All of my setting are as per email providers specs... hotmail, gmail and my
business email however, I am not receiving emails. When I ran POP it was
fine but when I changed to IMAP things just stopped working. There are no
error messages that I have noticed.
My email accounts are also connected with Entourage and with Thunderbird on
another computer, they both work fine.
Any suggestions?

So, then you click the gmail Inbox folder, you don't see anything?
