I upgraded my wife's 6 mos old Dell Inspiron laptop (1.66GHz Intel Core, 1 Gb
RAM) to Vista (works great). I added standalone Outlook 2007. Install went fine but when I open Outlook, everything runs super slow. I press read a message and there is a 10 sec lag and the little blue spinning wheel before the message is selected. Meanwhile, at the top where it saya Inbox- Microsoft Outlook, a "not responding" briefly appears before the message is selected. I ran MS Office Troubleshhoot and the Repair portion from the install disk but there was no change. I was going to Uninstall & Reinstall but was afraid of losing Outlook my data. Any ideas? thanks Nate |

Thanks Brian....I've been on with Outlook 2007 tech support. Create NEW USER
and import data solved the problems "Brian Tillman" wrote: nate wrote: I upgraded my wife's 6 mos old Dell Inspiron laptop (1.66GHz Intel Core, 1 Gb RAM) to Vista (works great). ![]() Well, as it turned out, after a 2.5 hr tech support session where a tech took over my computer, it's still not solved. I guess the problem reoccurred when they imported my data. With a new profile, everything was working fine. So how do I retreive my contact and Calendar lists? thanks Nate "Brian Tillman" wrote: nate wrote: Thanks Brian....I've been on with Outlook 2007 tech support. Part 2 of Tech Support totally solved it. It turned out that I needed to
uninstall MS Office 2002 because there was a conflict between Outlook 2002 and Outlook 2007. We also uninstalled the remnants of Norton Internet Security (Live Update, etc). You have to go to Symantecs website to downloaded the Uninistall Agent as Control PanelPrograms & Features would not uninstall these remnants Nate "nate" wrote: Well, as it turned out, after a 2.5 hr tech support session where a tech took over my computer, it's still not solved.
