Default Restore Microsoft Outlook, add-in problem

I downloaded some MediaMax software and now my Outlook has problems.

From what I gather, the problem has something to do with add-ins for Outlook.

I have removed the MediaMax software but Outlook still won't operate properly.

My thought was to restore Outlook to its original settings...how do I do that?

Is there another solution?

Help please!

Hard to tell from the information provided.
What is the exact problem and with what version of Outlook?

Default Restore Microsoft Outlook, add-in problem

Thanks for the reply.

I am using Outlook 2003.

When I attempt to open Outlook, I get messages saying that there were
serious problems with the plug in to Plaxo. Also a message saying that my
Business Contact Manager has experienced an error and the Outlook needs to
close.

I am unable to progress after sending /not sending error reports.

I have attempted to delete "extend.dat, outcmd.dat, frmcache.dat" files and
reboot but still to no avail.

Help!!

I have attempted to

Default Restore Microsoft Outlook, add-in problem

What exactly is being logged to the Event Viewer regarding this?
Have you tried doing a repair on Office and BCM already?

Your thoughts?

Default Restore Microsoft Outlook, add-in problem

Still seeking answers and have found a few posts similar to -

I too have this problem...have already tried Outlook.exe /resetfolders and
/cleanreminders with NO effect. This problem seems to be widespread. Is there
no FIX out there? The only advice seems to be the Outlook.exe /resetfolders
/cleanreminders thing. What is the next thing to try?

HELP......not critical but OH SO ANNOYING!

Default Restore Microsoft Outlook, add-in problem

"BCM is successful but Office in unsuccessful"
You have to tell us a lot more. We cannot see the error codes you are
getting and "unsuccessful" is a much to vague term to work with to offer a
possible solution.
