Default Same Personal Folders shows 3 times in Folder list

After importing my data into Outlook 2003 the same Folder "Personal Folders"
showed twice. Trying to get rid on one only added another now it shows three
times in the folder list. How can I get rid of two of them? I am not
allowed to close any because they all report the same data and all receive
the same e-mail.

The Dell support person created another folder, switched e-mail there and
tried to delete, but it still didn't work. I ended up having to do a system
restore and reinstall Office, to get it working at all, but the problem is
still there.

I have this same problem, but one of the folders does notcontain all
subfolders, as do the other two. I would like to have just one!

You will see countless posts here that answer your question. Importing a PST
always corrupts your profile by creating a duplicate PST file that you
cannot close. You should never import a PST file.
You must now create a new profile from scratch and migrate data to it
correctly: Just open the PST file and set it as your new default, then you
can close the original one that the new profile created/

How about a step by step procedure of how to do this and how to get rid of
unwanted files?
