I have several e-mail accounts that I check through outlook 2003. I set my
message rules to filter messages as they come in to go to a specific folder. Some rules work correctly but others do the following: I set up {...message through the "Juno" account, move it to the "Juno" folder} When I click apply, the program changes "Juno" in the account line to "netzero" and closes. I go back and fix it and it does the same thing. It is incredibly frustrating. I just want to have my mail sorted thats all!!! Any help or suggestion are appreciated! |

Hi Lee,
try the additive "implement no further rules" behind every rule.. (Sorry my Outlook is in german so I don“t know the real english text in the rules wizard) Maybe it helps. -- Oliver Vukovics Share Outlook without Exchange: Public ShareFolder Share your contacts, calendars or e-mails http://www.publicshareware.com "Lee" schrieb im Newsbeitrag ... I tried including "and stop processing more rules" at the end of the rule,
but it still changed the "account" to one other than what I selected. Thanks for the suggestion. Any others? I don't have the option of "implement no further rules", I just have what I
said previously: "stop processing more rules" Any further help is appreciated... "Brian Tillman" wrote: Oliver Vukovics wrote: try the additive "implement no further rules" behind every rule.. I was responding to Oliver's not knowing that the German translation to "implement no further rules" actually reads "stop processing more rules" in English. -- Brian Tillman |

I am having the exact same problem. I tried the "stop processing more rules"
option and it made absoutely no difference to the root of the problem. Here is what I did ... I opened Toos\Rules Wizard. I did New\Start from a blank rule\check messages when they arrive I selected through the specified account I specefied " and clicked next. I selected "move to the sepcified folder" and "stop processing more rules" I specified "ECD" and clicked next. I clicked next on the exceptions I selected "Turn on this rule" and clicked finish. On the Rules Wizard I clicked Ok to close I opened Toos\Rules Wizard. The rule that I just made specifing "through the move it to the ECD folder" now reads "through the move it to the ECD folder" I did this with all five of my accounts. They all came back saying "through the move it to the shanemccook folder" "through the move it to the ECD folder" "through the move it to the shane.is.root folder" "through the move it to the FXManVA folder" The only rule that stayed correct was: "through the move it to the FXMan27 folder" At the suggestion of one of my professors who is a MCSE, I tried running "detect and repair" and it made no difference.
