Default Setting Outlook as the dafault e-mail program.

Everytime I click on an e-mail link in a web page or even in an e-mail
message in Outlook, then Outlook Express is always started.
I have already set the "Make Outlook the default program for E-mail,
Contacts, and Calendar" check box. I have even unchecked the "set as default"
in Outlook Express, but I still cannot stop Outlook Express from opening its
"New Message" window when I click an e-mail link! Help!

Well, the e-mail option here says "Microsoft Office Outlook".
If I set it to Hotmail and Apply, then clicking an e-mail link wil fire up
hotmail.com. If I set it back to Outlook and Apply, then an e-mail link will
STILL fire up Hotmail!
Equally. Setting it to Outlook Express fires up Outlook Express. Setting it
back to Outlook still fires Outlook Express!
Seems like the Office Outlook option is ignored and Windows choses whatever
option was selected before.

Hmmm, you might want to try a quick Detect & Repair just to make sure
Outlook's registry entries are correct. It's on the Help menu in Outlook
