I'm stumped:
I have two users (out of 230) that try to move email from their exchange 2003 mailbox into an archive, and get "Please wait while windows configures Microsoft office standard edition 2003" it asks them to reboot, they do. They try the move again, same message each time. Basically, they are having to reboot the machine each time they move an email. It's happening on only these two machines, both Windows XP pro. Windows in Safe mode, no change. Outlook in Safe mode, no change. New Windows profile, no change, new Outlook profile, no change, new PST file, no change. *sigh* Delete the PIP files, no change. Windowsupdate.Microsoft.com and OfficeUpdate.Microsoft.com, no change. Repair office install, no change, reinstall Office, no change, uninstall and reinstall Office, no change. Both users are using the standard administrative install of Office 2003, which is set with nothing to "install on first use" the componants are either installed or they are not available. Technet search came up with: http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=265194 but that's it, no help. Several Google groups also mentioned a promising glitch with Windows Media Player, upgraded that, no use. Any suggestions? I'm opening a case with MS if no one knows. John H. |
