If I delete or change details of an e-mail account setup [using ToolsEmail
Accounts... View of change existing e-mail account Next select account Delete or using ToolsEmail Accounts... View of change existing e-mail account Next select account Change and then change, say the Outgoing main server (SMTP):, or any other detail Next Finish] the new setup works just fine... UNTIL... I shut down and restart Outlook (without a reboot) or shutdown the computer and reboot. When Outlook restarts the orginal e-mail account settings are back to the old settings [eg the deleted account has returned or the changed smtp address has reverted to the previous setting] and all the changes are lost. This is a real nuisance because my SMTP server changed some time ago and every time I restart Outlook I have to go into the e-mail account setting to correct them before trying to send any e-mails. A fix for this problem will really be appreciated. |
