I have several emails that I get regularly from companies that I want to file
in Outlook folders on my home PC. I don't want to have them stay on the pop server after they've been copied to the Outlook folder. (I leave my outlook up all the time at home.) I've set up rules on these messages but I still end up having to delete them through my web mail browser because they don't delete. How can I setup a rule that will only delete these messages from the server while leaving the messages I don't have rules setup up for on the server until I manually delete them? Thanks! |

You don't.
Why specifically are you leaving messages on the server? -- Bill R MVP "Ian O" Ian wrote in message ... Because some emails (itinerary info, temporary contact information,
directions, tech support conversations) I want to have access to while at work or out of town and if they are left on the server then I can accesses through any web browser at my ISP webmail site. The clutter (receipts, newsletters, certain types of ads) is what I want on my home PC but I don't want to have to wade through it when using webmail elsewhere. So if I could download it, sort it into folders and then remove the server copy, only the "important" emails will stay on the server. Right now, I spend an hour a week cleaning things up on the webmail page just to get it back down to the emails I think I might need access to anywhere. "BillR [MVP]" wrote: You don't. For this type of anywhere access you might consider using an IMAP account
where the message store is saved on the server. -- Bill R MVP "Ian O" wrote in message ...
