Default errors sending and receiving emails

I have Microsoft Office 2003 and a cable modem. Outlook was working fine,
sending and receivining emails until recently. The error I get in Outlook
is: Outlook could not connect to the incoming mail server (pop3). The
problem could be the server name or port, or your server may not support SSL.
Verify your port and SSL setting in More Settings under the Advanced tab.

The same message applies to the outgoing mail server.

Any suggestions?
