Outlook 2003 is not properly integrated with the Internet Explorer setting
"Reuse windows for launching shortcuts" in (Internet Options - Advanced). This causes severe readability issues for users who need to make many url clicks from within Outlook, and don't want multiple instances of the IE window opening. ---------------- This post is a suggestion for Microsoft, and Microsoft responds to the suggestions with the most votes. Believe it or not, this was a new change to Outlook 2003 based on customer
feedback -- a lot of people DIDN'T want their IE windows re-used, apparently. -- Jocelyn Fiorello MVP - Outlook *** Messages sent to my e-mail address will NOT be answered -- please reply only to the newsgroup to preserve the message thread. *** "Bill" wrote: Outlook 2003 is not properly integrated with the Internet Explorer setting "Reuse windows for launching shortcuts" in (Internet Options - Advanced). Hi Jocelyn,
Thanks for your reply. It could be true...........but there's also a lot of people who doesn't like the change. We are 23 employees where I work (both functional and technical) and 19 doesn't like the change, 2 does and 2 doesn't care!!! In that case why not giving the options to the user like IE. Is this something that you are thinking in future Update?? Thanks in advance.
