Default Default message type

What version of Outlook are you referencing? I know of no Outlook that
gives only those two formats.

After furious head scratching, Jim asked:

Default Default message type

There are other formats (e.g., text). I only listed the one that is
currently the default and the one I'd like to make the default.

Come to think of it, one wonders why "Message format" isn't the default to
start with.

Default Default message type

No, there is no way to set a default File | Save As type.
