Ever since I changed my ISP to comcast.net and changed my e-mail
settings, I can only send and receive e-mail when I hit the Send/Receive button (F9). Outlook no longer does a Send/Receive when I launch Outlook and no longer does it every 5 minutes, as my settings specify. I've gone through the settings and they appear correct. What's happening here? Ed |

Close Outlook and rename your .srs file - sounds like your send/receive
settings got corrupted. -- Milly Staples [MVP - Outlook] Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. All unsolicited mail sent to my personal account will be deleted without reading. A search of my hard drive for *.srs found nothing. Now what do I do?

OK, I found them. I wasn't sure what "renaming" them meant. I added
".old" to the end. I restarted Outlook and nothing has changed. What was supposed to happen? Or does renaming the .srs file mean something else? Please be explicit about steps--I'm not a dunce, but some of these answers are too cryptic for me to understand. |

OK, I checked the send/receive settings and saw that it now had the
"disable scheduled send/receive" option checked (I don't believe this was checked before). I unchecked it and it seems to work now. |
