Hi
Are there any tools available that will convert PST files from the 97-2002 format to 2003 format to enable autoarchiving using the same files? We have users moving from Outlook 2000 to Outlook 2003 and they would like to keep using their existing PST files. Otherwise they need to create the new format PST files. Thanks |

There are no tools that will convert .pst files. Only Outlook can read ..pst files. That said, Outlook 2003 is quite capable of reading .pst files created by earlier versions of Outlook and, also, creating .pst files in the earlier format that can be read in older versions of Outlook. -- Rich Cervenka Chicago, Illinois, USA |

Unless you're approaching the maximum size of the older PSTs or need Unicode data in them, there's no reason to switch if you don't want. Autoarchiving works fine in either the old or the new format PSTs. We have users moving from Outlook 2000 to Outlook 2003 and they would like to keep using their existing PST files. You can't autoarchive to the older 97-2002 format PST file in Outlook 2003,
unfortunately. "Brian Tillman" wrote in message ...
