There is no such thing as Office Outlook Express. Outlook Express is part of
Internet Explorer. The data and contacts for your previous Outlook 2003 are contained in your PST file. If you are asking how to get Outlook Express 6 working with your Microsoft Outlook 2003 data, you'll need to talk to the experts in the Outlook Express newsgroup: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/...&lang=en&cr=US -- Kathleen Orland - MVP Outlook Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ http://www.howto-outlook.com/ "melanie" wrote: i have just downloaded a trial version of office 2007, with office outlook express. i had to uninstall my old 2003 version and have lost all the data contacts etc. i am running an old version of outlook express version 6 i think so i could recieve e mails temporarily. i now however can send e mails from the old version to the new but the new wont allow me to send any e mails at all . as all the buttons for send and forward or reply etc are greyed out. any one help -- help appreciated cheers mel |

My take on this post is that the user is now trying to send with Outlook
2007 for which this group is set up to help with. There is not a lot of information, but it sounds as if the user may not have set up smtp for your email server to send email. Check the settings provided by your isp and enter them for the mail account for which you are trying to send and or reply to emails with. "K. Orland" wrote in message ...
