While in Unread Mail, I used to be able to hit delete one time and the

I understand the logic of this. The message is still unread when I delete
it the first time, hence having to do it again. But I didn't have to do
this before. It always left the unread mail folder the first time.

I tried setting mail to show as read after 1 second in the reading pane.
But the problem remains. Only now, the message goes from unread to read,
but I still have to hit the delete button twice for it to leave the unread
mail folder.

I've tried everything including Google searches and haven't been able to
come up with anything.

Any ideas?


Right-click on the Unread Mail Folder. Choose "Customize this folder".
Remove Deleted items from the list of folders.
