I'm using Outlook 2007 SP1 and am having an issue where I can't reply
to or forward a message if I have the option set to include the original message text with the email. It gives me one of those report this error to Microsoft messages, then boots me out. I can include the original text as an attachment or specify to not include the original message text and it will work. Another weird thing is I can't copy and paste something into a new email message or else I get that same Microsoft error message, but I can copy and paste something into a Reply to message. It doesn't make much sense to me. Does anyone have any suggestions I can try? Thanks!! |

1) Run the Inbox repair tool (scanpst.exe)
2) Check your application event viewer for Outlook or Office related entries. The error message, EventID, and source are important information. 3) Create a new Outlook profile: http://www.howto-outlook.com/faq/newprofile.htm -- Kathleen Orland - MVP Outlook Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ http://www.howto-outlook.com/ "Gyetko" wrote: I'm using Outlook 2007 SP1 and am having an issue where I can't reply to or forward a message if I have the option set to include the original message text with the email. I repaired it anyway. In addition to my first post, I've found that pasting to a new email only errors out for rich text and html, but I am able to paste if I change the email to text format. There is a message that was logged to the Event Viewer after I tried to reply to an email. I've listed it below. While looking through the event viewer, I did see that there is a bad block on the hard drive so I am going to run scandisk and attempt to repair it. Was this an in-place upgrade from Office 2003 or a clean install?
Have you tried opening Outlook in safe mode to check your Add Ins/COMs? Some may not be compatible with Outlook 2007. Start Run outlook.exe /safe -- Kathleen Orland - MVP Outlook Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ http://www.howto-outlook.com/ "Gyetko" wrote: On Feb 3, 2:49 pm, K.
