Default Multiple POP accounts

My family and I use a home PC connected wirelessly to ADSL.

We prefer not to use multiple user accounts. I realise this problem can be
easily overcome by creating multiple user accounts, however it's something
we'd like to avoid.

We have 3 different POP accounts with our ISP, and would like to know if its
possible to have 3 separate 'Personal Folders' listings on the left, one for
each of us. Currently all our mail is being downloaded to the one 'Inbox'. We
want each different POP account to be stored in a different area.

Thanks

Use rules to put e-mails into separate folders based on through which
account the e-mail was received. For example, create subfolders under
Inbox named "Inbox - Joel", "Inbox - Susan", and "Inbox - Bobby"
(obviously you use whatever personal names you want). Then define 3
rules, one for each account. Each rule moves e-mail into the named
folder depending on the account used to retrieve the e-mail.

However, because you are telling Outlook to go yank e-mails from all
those accounts, ANYONE using Outlook will end up polling all the
accounts for new e-mails. That means if Joel uses Outlook and has it
poll for new e-mails, some might be for Susan. Joel will get the "new
mail" alert and envelope tray icon but the e-mail might've been just for
Susan (i.e., Susan had messages but Joel didn't). Then later when Susan
goes to use Outlook, she won't get the new-mail alert and tray icon
because those new messages were already retrieved previously by Joel.

You could use the Mail applet in Control Panel to create separate mail
profiles for each user and also configure to NOT use one of them as the
default profile. The nuisance then is that each user that runs Outlook
will have to select their own mail profile when Outlook loads.

Using separate Windows accounts works best.
