Hello:
I am running Outlook 98 - have been for some time. Use it via Internet Only version - as my prime e-mail program. Did recently have a system wide (Windows ME) problem which required operating system be re-installed over windows - in order to be able to boot machine. All appeared to work ok providing I downloaded from Windows Update - all the Updates which the new installation did not have. This of course played some havoc with various Programs - but have been able to get just about all running ok. However, in last few days - noticed as I receive mail (via Outlook 98) - I get the audible notice of mail received and the momentary flash of items in Incoming box - but then items dissapear - and not in to Delete folder, but just seem to dissapear. I do not have a standing rule to automatically completely delete all incoming mail. Where could mail be going? Getting ready to fully delete and re-install Outlook - but my contacts/address book is tied in with Winfax Pro and hope can avoid making a worse mess. Also notice - at Personal Folders splash screen - where you can choose which folder will open (Options) when Outlook 98 is opened - not responding when clicked. Program opens only to personal folders screen and I have to click to get to Inbox. I have closed down any open .pst folders - leaving open that which brings up - you cannot close down .pst file that contains your pop mailbox. Should I just completely uninstall - then re-install? Thanks, Barry |

It's been a long time since I used OL 98, but look at your View settings to
make sure All Messages is the selection, not Unread, Less than 7 days old or some other filter. "bardot861" wrote: Hello: I am running Outlook 98 - have been for some time.
