Default Opening links to exe's in O2K in WinXP?

Here at the office and before on Win98SE, reminders to do things like check
for viruses/malware, etc., was made easier because I'd put the path to the
EXE into a link. This is what I mean, as just an example:

file://C:\Program Files\Lavasoft\Ad-Aware SE Personal\Ad-Aware.exe

In XP I can no longer do that. How can I turn this "protection" off, pls.
I only run EXEs in a path such as this in my own reminder and calendar
entries.

Thanks. D

p.s., if this should instead go into an XP ng instead of Outlook, pls
advise.

I thought as much.

Thanks. Will see what I can do at home. At the office seems to still work
okay. We had XP installed. So far, everything works fine here but it's at
home where it's not. I'll be able to change the settings there, though.
I'd not be in luck here, as I don't have administrator rights, as it should
be.
