I keep getting a error that the Data File did not close correctly when
ever I open Outlook 2007. Also every time I go to close a contact it asks if I want to save the contact. Any Ideas what is going on? Thanks Ron |

First thing you might want to try is to run ScanPST.EXE on your PST file to
make sure it's not corrupt. "Ron Boetger" wrote in message ... I keep getting a error that the Data File did not close correctly when ever I open Outlook 2007. Also every time I go to close a contact it asks if I want to save the contact. Any Ideas what is going on? |

Did that and it seemed to help with the corruption BUT still, every
time I open a contact and then close it Outlook asks if I want to save it, even when I don't make any changes. Well the ScanPST.exe worked for about 2 times. The 3rd time I opened
Outlook I got the message Data File was not closed properly. Your getting the "outlook was not closed proerly" error because some
program is keeping outllok.exe file running even tough you close Outlook. Even though it's a pain in the butt...Open Task manager and verify that the Outlook.exe process is ended before you logoff\shutdown your PC. After you verify that that is causing your problem you can diagnose what application (probably messenger) is keeping outlook.exe running.
