Hi Jim,

You could use the Rules Wizard in Outlook under "Tools/Rules Wizard/"

you could create a rule like " after incoming of an Email forward this email
to ...." BUT you forward this email not as a copy.

My testing shows the forward action in rules does forward a copy; that is,
the message stays in the Inbox of the original recipient as well as
appearing in the Inbox of the forwarding address. The redirect action (in
an Exchange environment), however, does what you describe, I believe.

I Tried fowarding email from any account in the organization to the internet
(ie via an mail enabled contact or mail enabled account). I get this error
message "#550 5.2.0 RESOLVER.FWD.NotFound; misconfigured forwarding address"

Has anyone every seen this. All works well when I forward to addresses
inside the organization.

Are you using Exchange? Are you trying to manually forward a message or are
you forwarding it by a rule (the focus of this particular thread)? If you're
not using a rule, then you should start your own thread.

Was there a purpose in you posting nothing more than a quote of someone else's
message?

By default, Exchange will not send automatic replies or forwards to external
addresses. There is a setting in Exchange's management interface that can
change this.

What should I setting in our Ms.Exchange 2003 server?

If you're not the Exchange admin, ask the people who are. If you are the
Exchange admin, it should be in the Exchange documentation you have. The
people who read microsoft.public.exchange.admin can answer the question as
well, as can a Google search. I performed one using
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=%2Bexchange+%2Bsetting+%2Bautomatic +%2Bforwards
and found this within 10 seconds:
------
The reason why it is not working for some of you guys is because you have to
enable automatic replies in Exchange Server Manager.

Carry out as instructed about and then make sure this is enabled on ESM:

1. Open Exchange System Manager
2. Select Internet Message Formats under Global Settings
3. Double click on DEFAULT in the Right pane of the MMC
4. Select the Advanced tab
5. Select "Allow Automatic Replies"

Dear Brian,
Thank you very much my friends, I already try your instruction and succeed.
But, I make a different in step no.5. Select "Allow Automatic Forward".

Once again, thanks..

ps: I am an administrator in my company, thanks for asking and answering.
