Default Searching for my Outlook Mail

I have years worth of old e-mails that I had accessed through outlook
(I don't use outlook currently for new mail). All of my old emails are
gone, and I don't know where they went or how I can find them. They may
have been lost when I removed one of my accounts. Can anyone help?

You say you dont use outlook anymore, could have been a linked pst file
that stored all your archived mail? I would assume thats still on your
machine but since you no longer use outlook you cant open it.

I still have outlook on my machine, I just don't use outlook as my
email client. So, because I have unlinked this archived folder from
outlook, am I still unable to access its contents?

Absolutely. open Outlook and do File-Open-Outlook Data File.

If you don't use Outlook any more, then you have no way of accessing that
old mail, since only Outlook can read Outlook's data files where your old
mail is stored.

That said, here are the default locations for Outlook's files:
