I am trying to set up my e-mail account on my wireless laptop. I think I
have everything set up okay as far as the account is concerned, but when I send my e-mail, I get pop-up message "Error in registry for extension "Exchange Extensions". The syntax or format of the registry entry is incorrect". "Check the registry settings and compare the registry for this extension to the other extensions in the registry". I have tried to find the solution to this but just don't have a clue. Thanks so much for any information you can give me ! |

DEANO typed: How do you ask a new question to the group, sorry to bother you but i can't figure it out? snip Hi - try using a newsreader client (such as Forte Agent, Thunderbird, or even Outlook Express) rather than the web interface to the newsgroups. It's a lot easier to do nearly everything there. You can even mark messages you want to be "watched" for replies, and filter based on replies to your posts. The Microsoft public news server is news.microsoft.com and you can subscribe to as many groups as you like. |

One correction, the nntp news server for Microsoft groups is msnews.microsoft.com - don't forget the "ms".

Well, actually, news.microsoft.com is an alias of msnews.microsoft.com, so you really don't need the "ms". $ nslookup news.microsoft.com Non-authoritative answer: Name: msnews.MICROSOFT.COM Address: 207.46.248.16 Aliases: NEWS.MICROSOFT.COM -- Brian Tillman |
