Default Mail Merge - Can I cc the email?

I need to send mass emails to clients and I need to cc this email to one of
my colleagues. May I know how can I cc the email when doing a mail merge?

Why not just add your colleague's address to the list of addresses you're
using for your merge?

Exactly. THink about it: Does the colleague really want to get 1000 copies of a merged message?

Or, is the purpose of using the Cc to allow the recipients to Reply to All and include your colleague in the reply?
