Default using outlook can you receive without tapping on receive messages

I would like to be able to see new messages in my in box without having to
use the receive tab. Is there a way to have them just come into my inbox
without tapping on receive

Set up automatic mail polling every 10 minutes in Tools, Options.

I tried this advise and it still does not work.

Then it is time for you to start posting some actual information.
It is impossible to determine why automatic polling is failing when you do
not post your Outlook version, mail account type, connection type and
polling settings.

I am not the most computer literate person, but will try to supply you with
the information you are asking for. I have Outlook as part of Office 2003. I
have a high speed internet connection.

Unfortunately that doesn't tell us anything. What type of email account are
you using (email types include POP3, HTTP, IMAP, Exchange server)? You had
to have configured the account, so you would know what type it is.
