Default Possible to have Eudora and Outlook?

Reading all the challenges of converting Eudora data to Outlook, I'm
wondering if I can just keep Eudora to hold all my old email dating
back several years, and load Outlook? I would use Outlook for my new
mail and send and receive only with it.

Any problems you can think of with this setup?

Eudora 5.2.1
Outlook 2003

Thanks.

I hope you're right and all else I read is wrong - problems like
loosing dates and other attributes of the imported email; embedded
objects; and even attachements.

there are possibilities of that, yes. It might be easier to do it in two
steps - import into Outlook Express first, and then export to Outlook.
