in outlook express i used to be able to view contacts in lower left beneath

While, as Russ said, it's not possible in Outlook, you can certainly open your Contacts folder in a separate window and tile it as you wish near the Inbox window. If you then close Outlook with FileExit, Outlook should remember you had both windows open and reopen them when you next start it. -- Brian Tillman |
