Hi Folks,
In Outlook 2003, SHIFTCONTROLB brings up what I will call The Outlook Address Book, as distinct from the Windows Address Book, and my question involves the Outlook Address Book. When sending a fax using Microsoft Fax, the "Address Book" button invokes the Outlook address book which permits selection of an Outlook Contacts Folder as a source of addresses, so long as that folder has been suitably indicated in the properties dialog. However, entries will not appear unless they have a RECOGNIZABLE e-mail address, which is useless during a fax operation. Is there a way to tell the Outlook Address Book to filter the entries based on fax number (blank or otherwise) and NOT to filter the addresses based on e-mail? Thanks for the help. |

No, not that I'm aware of, however, a contact that has a valid "Business
Fax" entry should be shown as this is considered a valid "email address". I have several such entries in my contacts folder (nothing but a name and a business fax entry) and they definitely appear in the address book when clicking "To:" on a new Fax message. This has been asked and answered in the other Outlook group to which you posted the same question.
