You old (WebDAV) Hotmail account in OE is no longer functional. As such,
incoming messages (to your new POP3 Hotmail account) will download into OE's inbox folder (unless you've created a Rule to filter them to another folder) and copies of your sent messages will default to OE's Sent Items folder now. No, you cannot change this. WYSIWYG now that WebDAV support has ended. -- ~Robear Dyer (PA Bear) MS MVP-IE, Mail, Security, Windows Client - since 2002 www.banthecheck.com Eric wrote: Does anyone have any suggestions on how to set rule senting hotmail moving into hotmail's outbox folder rather than default outbox folder? I can set rules to transfer any related hotmail into specific hotmail
folder for incoming email. I know: I showed you how to do it: http://groups.google.com/group/micro...796ab4533417b9 Is there any rule to transfer any outgoing hotmail copy into specific hotmail folder? Automatically? No. Tip: Your old (WebDAV) account is /never/ going to work in OE again. If there are messages in your old, Hotmail-specific folders that you need or want to archive in OE, Move (or Copy) them to new, user-created local folders then Remove the old account via Tools | Accounts | Mail. After doing so, make sure that the local Sent Items and Deleted Items folders are empty then compact all OE folders (ALT+F+F+F). General OE Caveats: - Don't use Inbox or Sent Items to archive messages. Move them to local folders created for this purpose. - Empty Deleted Items folder daily. - Frequently perform a manual compact of all OE folders while "working offline". More at http://www.insideoe.com/files/maintain.htm - Do not cancel Automatic Compacting, should it occur, and do not attempt to close OE via Task Manager or shutdown your machine if Automatic Compacting is taking place. - Disable email scanning by your anti-virus application. It can cause corruption (i.e., loss of messages) and provides no additional protection: Why you don't need your anti-virus to scan your email http://thundercloud.net/infoave/tuto...ning/index.htm -- ~Robear Dyer (PA Bear) MS MVP-IE, Mail, Security, Windows Client - since 2002 www.banthecheck.com Eric wrote: Thank you very much for your suggestions I can set rules to transfer any related hotmail into specific hotmail folder for incoming email.
