Default Microsoft Add-Ins For Reading Newsgroups In Outlook?

Version 4 is actually version 12.0 when installed
- not sure, but I suspect the 4 means it was the 4th rtw version made available for download.

For Live ID accounts, 12.1 is the preferred because it enables features for free accounts that are only available in with a Premium
account when using V4(12). The download link for each version explains the differences.

That's the page for v. 4. Scroll down a bit and click on «A new version (12.1) of the Outlook Connector offering free calendar
synchronization is
available here.»

Cheers,

Earle
