Default ntdd.dll error

For the past serveral months I have been having an intermiitent issue with
Outlook Express. OE 6 SP2 crashes for no apparent reason. It can crash
while composing a text e-mail, or when we are not using it. But once the
error begins to occur, it happens several time a day. When it crashes it
produces the error of :
AppName: msimn.exe, AppVer: 6.0.2900.2180, ModName: ntdll.dll.

I have tried several fixes but none last more than a couple of days.
I have renamed all my .dbx files
I have created a new identity and deleted the old identity
I have reloaded my entire address book

Are there other suggestions I should try?
