For a year I have been going to a website often with no problem but for last
week I get above message which actually refers to "cannot find server or dns error. If I ping the site with command prompt I get great short times and no losses. I have tried both manual URL entry as well as from favorites list to insure its not me. As the site is not appropiate for some I do not want to post the URL but I am reasionably sure that info wouldn't help. What might be the cause of this? XP pro- lots memory- internet zone security selected with low security-fast DSL-computer kept virus free and have tried with Avast turned off in case they changed their security settings. SG Note: I did not run a virus sweep around the time this started. SG |
