Hi:
For the past week, early morning or evening, about two or three times per day, I've been getting the following message and UNABLE to receive, nor send my e-mails. Sometimes, it lasts even one hour, but most of times, fixes within half an hour or so. It's VERY annoying and irritating to see this message, below. " ...... , Protocol: POP3, Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Error Number: 0x800CCC0F. How to fix this issue, above? Thanks for help in advance. |

If you compose a message in a program other than OE, please do not press
Enter unless you want to start a new paragraph. Thank you. If the problem is sporadic, and fixes itself, it is likely your server, or a bad connection. Check your modem, router, etc. The entire error message would be helpful though. Call your ISP's tech support and explain it to them. It is not OE doing this. It could be improper settings for your server, or Email scanning should be turned off in any anti-virus. Also exclude EML files from the scan. It provides no protection not provided by the regular resident protection. Besides that, McAfee,Trend and Norton are not compatible with Windows Mail and Outlook Express and should be uninstalled. The latest version of Trend's anti-virus seems to be causing problems too. -- Frank Saunders MS-MVP IE,OE/WM Do not reply with email |
