Default Priorty, Attachments and Flag columns

Is there any way to reactivate the Priority, Attachment and Flag columns.
The columns are still visible but you can no longer flag a message or if a
message has an attachment you do not know unless you open the message. If you
click any of these columns after selecting a message all that happens is the
sorting changes from ascending to descending or visa versa depending on
current sort order, whereas if you clicked on the flag before it would put a
red flag along side of the selected message, or if a message came in with an
attachment the attachment column would have the message marked and so on. I
am running XP SP2 MCE with OE6 and IE7. The above mentioned functions
worked up until yesterday and I am not sure what I may have done to cause
this if anything.

They are still checked in View | Columns? Then I would try a new identity.

You may have a damaged identity especially if it is the default Main
Identity. File | Identity | Add New Identity. Create a new one and test it.
If all is well, you can import your messages and Address Book from the old
identity and delete it.

Interesting. A new identity is almost like a new OE. This has to me
something really simple, or your machine is infected. Have you rebooted
lately? Try it. Try expanding the width of the columns. Also, switch them
around via View | Columns | Move Up and Move Down. I thought about your
mouse, but that wouldn't explain the attachment not showing.

Unless someone has another idea, I would go here next.

Full Windows version (e.g., WinXP SP3), please?

Are you referring to e-mail, newsgroups, or both?

Do you have only one (1) email account running in OE and is it an
MSN/Hotmail account or an IMAP account?

How visible? Perhaps you need to make them bigger? (Alt-V,C)
Also what is your Display resolution and DPI setting?
Try lower settings to see if that changes anything?

Looks like you are confused about clicking in the label area
versus clicking in the column beside a message item. ; )

In any case what happens if you try to use the keyboard equivalent
for toggling the Flag attribute? (Alt-M,a when message items
are selected in the message list.)

I
am running XP SP2 MCE with OE6 and IE7. The above mentioned functions

Good luck

I tried modifying the columns as sugested, ran a spyware and virus scan which
came up with a low risk spyware which was deleted, and finally rebooted to
last known good. After all of this all seems to be well with Outlook Express.
Thank you very much to all that posted help. Thanks again.
