Default .jpg converted to code on arrival

Hello !

Once in a while, I have a problem with pictures sent with OE6 : my
correspondant receives pages of code, instead of an image.

Does the problem come from my side, or from the other side ? What should be
done ?

Thanks

how large are the images, large images may be broken into pieces if (default
60KB) large then need to be "combine and decode"ed to be displayed. turn off

Yes, I have Kaspersky, and I scan outgoing mail as well as incoming mail.
But when I send the same images that gave problem to myself (using a
different address), there is no problem.

Yes, the last images that gave me problems are about 900 Ko. But the box
requiring large messages to be broken is unchecken (and applies only to
incoming mail, anyway : when I send the images to myself, there is no
problem)

I will type this slowly, so that you can follow along
stop me if I get ahead of you
and point out that the "break apart" tab is under the heading "Sending"
pause

Dumb as a stump

Does this happen with only one recipient?

Regardless of whether or not it is the cause, e-mail scanning should never
be used with Outlook Express. They are not compatible with each other and it
is not needed.

: OK. Thanks. I will try to scan only incoming mail.

As Bruce said, e-mail scanning should never be used with Outlook Express.
That includes incoming mail. The OE newsgroups are filled with horror
stories about this. It's a ticking time bomb.
