When creating a rule for an email, I check first box and it has the email
address from sender, I then check do not download from server. Will this stop emails from coming from my server. I also block senders I don't want.. Will that also stop emails coming in from my server. Or does anyone know an easy way to block them. I use mailwasher sometimes as it will bounce the email back to sender to make them think my email address no longer exists, that is ok if email if from an individual. but I think it is a waste of time if emails are being sent using an email program that will keep sending to email addresses automatically. Back to my original question will creating a rule the way I am doing it or blocking sendr stop email from my server. Thanks |

Do not use the bounce feature in Mailwasher. At the best, you are verifying
that your e-mail address is legit and active. At the worst, you may end up in a never-ending cycle of undeliverable mail notices as you will most likely be replying to a non-existent munged address. Do not use: Do not Download it from the server. If you do, it stays on the server and sooner or later, your space quota will be met and you will stop getting new messages. Use Delete it from server instead. This will keep messages from reaching your Inbox. Blocked Senders only diverts mail to deleted Items. Identical to a *Delete It* rule. Some guidelines. In general: Have all rules that divert mail to folders first. Delete it from server next. All others last. Make sure that every rule also has Stop processing more rules checked, unless that option is grayed out.
