Transfering messages with files and settings transfer wizard?
Gentlemen:
I just installed WinXP on a new C:\ HD. I kept the old HD with different letters. I used the WinXP Files and Settings Transfer Wizard under Win2K to save the OutlookExpress settings and (I think) the DBX files into a directory called USMT2.UNC (the wizard's name) on another HD. The wizard hung up when I tried to move the old messages back to the new HD under WinXP. On rebooting, it looks like some things got copied, like the newsgroup name "msnews.microsoft.com", but the messages did not show up. Nor did the Inbox messages show up. I have been trying different thing to import the messages in w/o sucess. What do I need to do? TIA, JohnH |

But I got smart to late and after about 8-hours gave up on trying to rescue the old e-mails. Thanks anyway. --JohnH |
