I "moved" my OE 5.5 (Win 98SE) to OE 6 (Win XP) on another pc. Mostly,
everything is now okay. However, the address book is somewhat messed up. The four identities have different address book info but all seem to be using the same WAB. So, I've exported the OE 5.5 address book (Jack.WAB file) under a new name (Jacknew.wab) and copied it into the XP pc. I imported it into one of the four Identities (not the Main identity) called Jax. Now Jax has an address book that has all the info (addresses and folders) of the import PLUS what was already there; AND, when looking at the Address book's HELP|ABOUT, it is still named Jack.wab and is still in the same location as before. BUT, Main Identity also uses Jack.wab but has a different address book (not all the same addresses and folders). I want to use the Jacknew.wab only -- what do I need to do? Should I use Windows Explorer to delete Jack.wab and then do an import for Jacknew.wab? Jack |
