Advice please,
Having installed XP SP2 to a new HD, everything seems to have gone well with
one exception:
My restore of OE data seems to have replaced everything - Address book and
several message folders with messages, EXCEPT my Hotmail folder and its few
contents. As this is my wife's folder where her Hotmail messages are stored,
it's pretty important that I get it sorted.

How do I re-create the Hotmail folder and get her incoming email directed to
it?

I have spent a lot of time reading this and other groups, and MS support.
No luck, and my eyes ache.

All you should need to do is set up the Hotmail account in Tools,
Accounts, Mail. Then do the send and receive. For HTTP (Hotmail/MSN)
and IMAP accounts, OE mirrors the mail server.

Is her Hotmail account configured & working in OE?

What you see in OE's Hotmail folders reflect what's on the Hotmail server
(i.e., everything in your various folders at www.hotmail.com).
