I would like to use a sync software to keep my address books on the Desktop
and Laptop the same. However they have different names, see below: C:\Documents and Settings\user\Application Data\Microsoft\Address Book\user.wab C:\Documents and Settings\owner\Application Data\Microsoft\Address Book\owner.wab Is there some way renaming one of them so that they have the same name (without causing some undesirable side effects) ? Thanks divoch |

On the computer you want to change, create the path you want if it isn't there already. Make sure OE and the Address Book are both closed. Rename the Address book Go to Start | Run and type regedit and click OK. Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\WAB\WAB4\Wab File Name and change the default name and path. Make sure it worked. -- Frank Saunders, MS-MVP OE/WM http://www.fjsmjs.com Answer in newsgroup. Don't expect an answer to email. |
