I have read some possible solutions to my outlook express problems, but

I'm no McAfee or Norton User (i'm using Nod32 as my AV)... but my Outlook
Express problems a

1. Some emails on my Inbox are gone (only last weeks email and my emails
back january are left in my Inbox).... I'm not compacting my inbox in the
event that my emails are lost... my computer didn't hang either.... It's
just
lost!

2. I have folders inside my inbox to sort out my mails... but one
"important" folder was lost when I opened my OE... (again, i'm not
compacting
or my pc didn't hang)...

I tried opening my store folder (to check if the foldername.dbx
exists...
yes it was there.. but my oe is not opening it...

So I tried to copy my whole "Outlook Express" folder to my slave disk...
then I opened my OE, tried importing the messages from my slave disk...
but
still, my missing folder is not included in the list of folders to import.

I also tried installing a certain software that will repair my .dbx files
(and yes, its just a trial version)... so I get what I wanted and saw all
the
emails there, but of course I cannot save them cause i'm just using a
trial
version.

I just wonder what happened... Does Outlook Express still was unable to
repair this some sort of a bug that eventually crashes our dbx files after
ALL THESE YEARS since OE started?

And please, DON'T GIVE ME THE OPTION TO BUY CERTAIN SOFTWARES JUST TO
RETRIEVE MY .DBX FILES... THIS IS AN OUTLOOK EXPRESS BUG (THAT COMES WITH
MY
PAID WINDOWS XP)... YOU GUYS MUST HAVE A FREE SOLUTION TO THESE....

For people like us, even how small the amount of money is essential.... we
trust Microsoft that's why we continue using your softwares... just give
us
fair solutions once your softwares encounter bugs... I know most people
experiencing the same problem as much as I do would suggest the same
thing.

Delete Folders.dbx while OE is closed. When you reopen OE it should rebuild
the file, using the DBX files it finds in its store folder. Any that are
not included are probably corrupt and you will have to use a third party
program to recover the messages. You will lose any folder hierarchy (all
mail folders will be under Local Folders) and you will lose the list of
newsgroups on the news servers.
