On clicking on the Write Message icon in OE 6.00.2900.2180 to compose a
new message, the new message window launches OK, but the stupid thing is in the background, behind the OE main screen. I then gotta click on the new message window's button in the taskbar to bring it to the foreground. What's Microsoft doing to screw me over NOW? *** |

Oooops...I could be unfairly blaming Microsoft. (Again.)
On further experimentation, what I think is going on is that McAfee's Spam Killer is at fault. That's because on clicking the Write Message icon, the new message window appears in the foreground momentarily, then disappears to the background, THEN the menu for McAfee's Spam Killer wrongly comes up (that's right, on the Write Message icon). So my question may now be: How do I uninstall McAfee's SpamKiller out of OE6? Thanks. *** |

Status:
Yes, McAfee SpamKiller was at fault. I just removed it, so that SpamKiller no longer appears in OE6. The new message window now correctly appears in the foreground. *** |
