Hi. Everytime I try to play a video whether it is on CNN.com, MSN.com or
stupidvideos.com I always get an error report stating that there was an error with iexplorer.exe. Then it shows the error screen, asks if I want to cancel, enter or debug. No matter what I pick all the browser window(s), no matter how many I have open, crashes. I have sent error report after error report and nothing has fixed it. I have updated, and updated and still I have this problem. I have a fairly new Dell computer with Internet Explorer version 6.0. What is up with this?? Can anyone help?? PLEASE, do not respond if you are going to advise that I download some spyware program. SIGH!!!! |

First of all this group specializes on Outlook Express so you may get a
better response in the Internet Explorer group(s) but it's not a problem the group names can be misleading. Check the name of the file - I think it's probably a typo but EXPLORER.EXE is the local file browser and IEXPLORE.EXE in Internet Explorer - if you have anything called IEXPLORER it's likely a cleverly named trojan, and don't worry, nobody here is going to recommend spyware ![]() Do you have anything like google toolbar, yahoo toolbar or any security software that claims to block pop-ups and stuff. Sometimes deactivating those things for testing will help you narrow down the possibilities. Have you tried anything so far like software or registry edits? Here are some spyware killers that are not themselves spyware by the way. -- SpyBot Search and Destroy http://www.safer-networking.org/en/download/ Microsoft Antispyware http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en Ad Aware http://www.download.com/Ad-Aware-SE-...bj=dl&tag=top5 Important - LSP-Fix http://www.cexx.org/lspfix.htm Be aware that using either of these to actually remove spyware can result in some programs refusing to work, in other words "Free" programs that you downloaded on condition you accepted ads and so called "Research" may get broken and you might want to uninstall them first. Some spyware actually breaks Windows trying to force it's way in and you should arm yourself with LSP-Fix before starting in case you lose internet connectivity. http://www.broomeman.com/spyware/ http://www.nsclean.com/nws-root.html Charlie "idobutnotwithu" wrote in message ...
