Default unable to check email on networked computer

when I logon to my home network I can get all inet services to work. after
about 10 minutes my email will not find server. all other services still
work. I have to reboot to get mail running again. is there some setting I'm
not getting right? I don't use windows firewall but I do use ZA Pro on all
computers in the home network.

Did you mean to say:

"...after about 10 minutes MS Outlook Express will not find the server"?

I am not sure that is sufficient information, but I think I can guess what
the problem might be:

Have you configured Zone Alarm Pro to trust the LAN IP address? Assuming
that your LAN IP address is 192.168.0.x, you _must_ configure ZA Pro to
trust IP addresses within that range.

Have you configured Zone Alarm Pro to trust your ISP DNS servers? Whenever
MS Outlook Express wants to find your mail servers, it has to use DNS to
change the name, 'smtp.example.com', into an IP address, 123.123.231.231.
If you don't have your DNS servers in the ZA Pro trusted zone, the DNS
lookup will fail, and you will be presented with a "server not found"
error.

Default unable to check email on networked computer

You have hit the nail on the head. I have a satellite system that requires
me to use a second nic card for my home network (the first nic handles the
sat internet connection). the host or gateway computer always works on all
fronts. it is the networked computer that can't find server after about 10
minutes. where do I find the setting in ZAPro?

Thanks
